At Barnes Family Dentistry, our doctors and staff have provided complete dental care for all ages since 1995. But our highly skilled team cares for more than your teeth. Everyone works hard to ensure your visit is comfortable with excellent care. Our goal is to provide our patients with an enjoyable office visit. That’s why Barnes Family Dentistry employs a talented and compassionate team. All of our staff are CPR and OSHA trained.
Donna
(Dental Assistant)
Donna is a local and grew up in Surf City, NC but now lives in Hampstead. Donna received a degree in Dental Assisting from Cape Fear Community College. After graduation in the summer of 1995, she joined Barnes Family Dentistry. In the early 2000s, Donna took some time off to stay at home to raise their two sons. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and watching sports on TV with her husband.
Sherryl
(Dental Hygienist)
Sherryl is North Carolina born and bred. She spent most of her life in the Burlington area with her son and daughter and working as a dental hygienist. She graduated from Guilford Technical Community College but is a NC Tarheel fan. Today she enjoys living at Wrightsville Beach with her new puppy and working part time. In her free time she enjoys pickle ball, travel and most of all her two grandchildren.
Kelly
(Dental Receptionist)
Kelly is a native of Wilmington and has lived here all of her life. Kelly received her degree in Dental Assisting from Cape Fear Community College in 1994. She is married to her high school sweetheart. Together they have two children, a daughter and a son. Kelly enjoys spending time with her large family, reading and her dog, Wrigley.
Taylor
(Dental Hygienist)
Taylor grew up in the small town of Advance, NC. She moved to Wilmington in 2013 to attend the University of NC at Wilmington and received a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in child development. She later received her A.S. in Dental Hygiene from Cape Fear Community College.in June of 2020. Taylor’s interest in the Dental Hygiene profession arose from her mother being a long time Dental Assistant. She provides gentle and compassionate care to make dentistry a positive experience for all patients. In her free time, she enjoys boating with her husband, beach walks, and spending time with family and her two dogs.
Brittany
(Dental Assistant)
Brittany grew up in Swansboro, NC and moved to Wilmington in 2017. She has always had a passion for helping others which sparked her interest in the dental field. Brittany received a degree in Dental Assisting as well as an Associates in Applied Science from Miller Motte College of Wilmington in 2024. She enjoys traveling, walks with her dog and spending time with family and friends.
